Dr. Sue Sundburg DVM
Dr. Sue Sundburg DVM MS received her DVM in 1987 from the University of California, Davis, as well as a Masters of Animal Science. She has worked with small animals as both a private practitioner and as Emergency clinician. She has been the senior veterinarian at Empire Veterinary Clinic for 19 years.
Ron Sundburg, MS
Ron Sundburg, MS is the Hospital Administrator. Along with having several other degrees, he received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Animal Science. Ron is in charge of all aspects of the running clinic, he will see to it that all the needs and comfort of your companion are met.
The staff here at Empire Veterinary Clinic is also dedicated to your pet’s care. Our team consists of our receptionist Erin, our nurses Eliza, Kris, and Amber and our kennels personnel. The staff is very well trained, with a combined experience of 12 years in veterinary care and experience in both private practice, as well as emergency medicine. The staff here at Empire Veterinary Clinic is also compassionate to each animal they handle, treating them as if they were their own. This allows us to provide the highest quality care for your animal in both emergency and routine situations.
Eliza is our registered veterinarian technician (RVT). She works in several areas of the clinic including the exam room and the hospitalization of your companion. When we are in surgery, she helps prepare your companion for surgery and monitors the anesthetics during surgery, as well as recover your companion from the anesthetic. Eliza is also in-charge of our wellness programs.
Kristen is another of our animal nurses. She works throughout the clinic, including exam rooms, surgery, and helps treat your companion. She assists the doctor with any procedures that need to be done, and also helps prepare your companion for surgeries or dentals. Kristen is in charge of our laser therapy program and helping the healing process along.
Crystal has been with the clinic 1997. She has grown up with the clinic since she was in kindergarten. She knows all aspects of the clinic. She received her Masters at UC Davis in 2015. She helps both in the back and in the front to make your companion comfortable. Crystal does the Digital Thermal Imaging to see where your companion hurts.
Ryan has been with the clinic his entire life. He is the clinic helper. He is continuing his education at the University of Idaho, but is still our IT expert.
Tessa is our receptionist. She is the first one to greet you at the door. She loves animals of all shapes and sizes and loves to greet your pet too. Tessa is in charge of client communications. She has several animals at home.
